Palaeolithic sight Badanj is located beneath the village Borojevići, near Stolac. It is situated about 6 kilometers of skyway, west from Stolac. Archaeologically this sight dates from the late period of younger Palaeolitic, i.e. 13000- 12000 years B.C. This sight was discovered in 1976. The most important discovery was the discovery of a particular carving of the Badanj site, as it ranks among the oldest works of art in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The drawing is partly damaged. Only the rear half of the body is left with thighs typical for horses and part of the hull, while the rest of the drawing is destroyed. This engrawing includes figures of animals and characters and that’s something typical for Mediterranean art.
